Let me tell ya’ll what to expect when booking an engagement session in Georgia in the middle of July. You have a 70% chance it’ll rain at any given moment, a 90% chance you’ll be toasty from the summer heat, and a 100% chance that I will capture magical moments that will last a lifetime.
Would you believe me if I told you the odds were against Carly and David for their summer engagement session?
We planned it for a beautiful summer afternoon without a cloud in the sky. Once the session time inched closer, a few summer storms were popping up. We met at the location and pulled up the radar only to find out we had 12 minutes before a torrential downpour met us on the corner of Cherry and First Street in downtown Macon. I told David, the groom-to-be, to pull up the radar on his phone. We had to find out if the sleeves were up. I said give me a few minutes, and I will work my magic capturing whatever I can until the storm hits. It was a swirl of me throwing out different poses, glancing at the radar, and laughing at the craziness of the weather.
Are you impressed?
We captured these dreamy engagement photos in less than 10 minutes. Pretty amazing? You would never guess there was an eerie sky behind me.
Due to the weather cutting their engagement session short, we split it into two events. One summer session and a fall photo shoot, Check out their fall images here.

Thank you, Carly and David, for being so obsessed with each other and trusting me literally in the middle of a storm.
xoxo,
