The Simmons winter wedding was the perfect cocktail of Christmas in the south and posh. It is my joy to share with you Kaylee and Stanley’s wedding.
Kaylee’s wedding day details were well executed and sentimental. She wore her grandmother’s sapphire ring as her something borrowed and blue. In this case it was extra special because she and her grandmother share sapphire as their birthstone.Â
Her dress was an elegant A-line satin dress with a stunning neckline.
Talk about a refined and dramatic look.
But I have to say, her veil stole the show! She chose a dramatic cathedral veil sprinkled with pears. This pop added an extra touch of glamor on her wedding day.
Wedding day details aren’t just for the bride.
Stanley was a dapper groom with the most thoughtful details as well. In fact, you’ll notice a jacket change from our groom at the reception.
Keep reading to see if you can spy it.
Hands down – my favorite wedding details of all are always the flowers. The Simmons did a superb job with selecting their florist, Urban Hays Design, who took the classic wedding day look and added hints of greenery. My favorite part was the way she used magnolia leaves to accent the flowers.
I highlighted Urban Hays Designs in my wedding vendor Q&A on Instagram. Check it out!
Kaylee’s girl gang proved my theory that a black dress is always a good idea. I am beyond obsessed with this gang’s fierce vibe. Partnered with Stanley’s group of spunky guys, thei bridal party shaped up to be such a hoot.Â
First United Methodist of Cordele was an excellent choice for a venue. It was a special place for the bride and her family. The holiday decorations paired with the wedding day made it such a warm and inviting venue. As a result of picking the church for their venue we were able to dodge the crazy weather during the ceremony.
Say hello to Mr. & Mrs. Simmons!
The Simmons chose to have the reception on family property near Lake Black Shear, Georgia. It was a stunning setup with florals and candles overflowing underneath a dreamy white tent. The reception was topped off with a spicy black and white dance floor. Bobby and the Aristocats got everyone moving and grooving.
In conclusion, the night ended with the classic sparkler exit and a happily ever after! Thank you for letting me be apart of your fabulous day.
xoxo,
