If we were sitting across from each other grabbing coffee and you asked me where I love taking engagement photos in Macon, these are the three places Iโd tell you about every single time. No overthinking. No trendy-for-five-minutes spots. Just locations that photograph beautifully and feel like you.

As a Macon, Georgia engagement photographer, these are my tried-and-true favorites.
Wesleyan is timeless in the best way. Itโs classic, quiet, and always makes couples relax the second we start walking.
Why I love it:

If you want engagement photos that feel romantic, elevated, and like theyโll still look amazing 30 years from now, Wesleyan is always a yes.
Jackson Springs feels like one of Maconโs best-kept secrets. Itโs cozy, natural, and perfect if you want your photos to feel warm and easy.

Why it works so well:
This is one of my go-to spots for couples who say, โWe just want it to feel natural.โ
Downtown Macon is for couples who want a little edge and a lot of personality. Brick walls, old buildings, great texturesโit brings so much character into a session.

Why couples love downtown:
If you want engagement photos that feel stylish, modern, and full of life, downtown is the move.
Hereโs the thing, thereโs no wrong choice. It really comes down to how you want your engagement photos to feel.
And if youโre stuck? Thatโs literally what Iโm here for.
If youโre planning engagement photos in Macon or Middle Georgia and want help picking a location that fits your story, letโs talk it through and make it fun, not stressful.
Ready when you are. If youโre recently engaged and dreaming about photos that feel natural, timeless, and very you, Iโd love to help you plan an engagement session that sets the tone for your entire wedding season. Reach out here to start the conversation, I canโt wait to celebrate this season with you.

Jackson Springs Park in Macon, Georgia, is a beautiful location for an engagement photoshoot. With its lush greenery, sparkling waters, and charming walking paths, this park is the perfect backdrop for capturing the love and joy of a couple in love. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing the future Howard’s engagement session at Jackson Springs Park, and it was an absolute delight. We finished the session off at local garden that was featured in Macon garden tour.

The couple, Julia and Jonathan, were a joy to work with. They were set up by Jonathan’s brother, such a great matchmaker. They both have a love for the outdoors and wanted their engagement photos to reflect that, plus we needed a cute place to capture their pups. Talk about Golden obsessed. Obviously, Jackson Springs Park was the perfect choice for their photoshoot because it offered the perfect mix of natural beauty and serene atmosphere.
We started our session in the late afternoon, just as the sun was starting to set. The light was soft and warm, and it illuminated the park’s trees and foliage beautifully. We began by exploring the park’s many walking paths, taking in the serene surroundings and capturing some candid moments along the way. Julia and Jonathan were so natural in front of the camera, and their love for each other was evident in every shot.

Finally, we made our way down to the park’s creek. The water was crystal clear, and the light danced off its surface, creating a magical and romantic atmosphere. Julia and Jonathan walked hand in hand along the creek’s edge, pausing to steal a kiss or share a laugh. It was a beautiful moment, and one that I was thrilled to capture.

Julia and Jonathan’s engagement session at Jackson Springs Park was a beautiful and unforgettable experience. The natural beauty of the park provided the perfect backdrop for capturing their love. I was thrilled to be a part of it all. Lastly, we popped over to my neighbor’s garden to snag a few photos in the garden. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for these two lovebirds. I wish them all the best in their journey together. See ya’ll in June!

Shannon and Jackson had planned the most elegant summer wedding at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a killer dance party at Idle Hour Country Club in Macon, Georgia. Of course, the planning was a team effort by all their amazing vendors. The gals at LLC Events kept everything running smoothly and worked through all the day’s logistics. Shannon and Jackson surrounded themselves with the best wedding party and family- a glorious day.

Idle Hour was the perfect place to take cover from the May Georgia heat and provided such a stunning backdrop for getting ready and wedding day pictures. Did I forget to mention that this wedding took place over Memorial Day weekendโฆin Georgia? You can’t tell at all, can you? Obviously, it is because the gals at The Mint crushed the wedding day looks for all. Time to gush over Shannon’s bridal details: her A-line dress and champagne shoes will make you swoon.
Our stunning bride did the sweetest first look with her bridesmaids, father, and groom. I love a first look with the groom. Specifically, first looks help the couple get out all of those wedding day jitters and create more opportunities for creative couple romantics like the ones you will see later in the blog.

Lastly, let’s take a moment to applaud the guys for being so respectful and looking dapper. These groomsmen were some of my favorites. They were down for the traditional photos but added their spin on things, which I always adore on a wedding day. Plus, they made the most out of hanging out at Trotters in Idle Hour before the wedding.

St. Joseph Catholic Church is dripping with beauty in downtown Macon, Georgia. Making it an iconic wedding spot. Shannon and Jackson’s ceremony was a sweet service surrounded by over 200 guests, and after the ceremony, we zoomed through the family formals in less than 15 minutes! Can you say go Annie T.?

After such a sentimental ceremony, we were off to the party at Idle Hour. The dance floor was popping, and Mary Pinson’s florals were blooming from every direction at the reception. Along with some of the best details of the day, the nod to Shannon’s Boston Terriers and Alabama-Roll Tide. Plus, lovely live art created by Sophie Waldrop Art! It was a night of dancing and good fun that ended with late-night Krystal’s, which, if you know me, you know it’s a significant win for a wedding day.

They ended the night with a magical sparkler exit to step into the Lamar’s forever. I adored St. Joseph Catholic Church and The Idle Hour Country Club reception. Shannon and Jackson, thank you for letting me capture your big day. It was a dream.
xoxo,
Annie T.

Join me in gushing over my sweet friends David and Calleene’s “day after” couple romantics. In 2019 I was fortunate enough to be David and Calleene’s wedding photographer for their fall Georgia wedding. It was a magical day filled with family and friends. One unique thing about this day is that it was my first-ever wedding aka they made me a Georgia Wedding Photographer. I’ll be blogging about old weddings soon, so stay tuned.

After David and Calleene got married, we became close friends dan day dreamed about a post wedding photoshoot. So I wasn’t surprised when Calleene reached out to me about booking a couples romantics session for their year anniversary. Unfortunately, due to covid, we were not able to make their dream a reality… that was until this year.

Get ready to fall in love with my first-ever Annie T. Photography couple and the Japanese Magnolias on Coleman Hill.

Pretty amazing right? I am obsessed with the couple that made me a Georgia Wedding Photographer and these trees. Let me know if you are ever feeling the itch jump back into your wedding attire or just want destination romantics. Think of all the possibilities.

David and Calleene thank you for being brave and running around Coleman Hill to take some magical photos. I hope you treasure these forever.

Get ready to drool over this engagement session under the Japanese Magnolias in downtown Macon. You won’t just gaze at the scenery but fall in love with the couple and gasp at the optical illusion created by a Macon photographer you know and love. ๐ ๐

Maddie and Caleb’s Japanese Magnolia engagement session is something to obsess over. The magnolias were in full bloom. It was the perfect backdrop for this swooning couple. When I say swooning, I 100% mean these two are smitten with each other. I caught Maddie and Caleb sneaking kisses, giggling, and whispering “I love you” to each other during our entire photo shoot.

Once we captured every drop of magic from the Japanese Magnolias, we headed to Coleman Hill to recreate the couple’s first day. What a fun first date it was. They watched the Goonies on top of Coleman Hill in Macon, Georgia, and the rest is history.

We ended our session at the most peculiar place. Maddie requested a field of tall grass for some dreamy sunset pictures. Of course, I wanted to make my client’s vision come to life, like all good photographers.
However, where would I find such a field in Macon, Ga?
That’s where I had to get creative. I knew there was a patch of tall grass in the industrial area section of Macon, so off we went. With my cameras in hand and the help of my go-with-the-flow couple, we capture the most magical images! You would never guess that we weren’t actually in a large field but a patch of grass.

Maddie and Caleb, thank you for letting me be a part of your story. I adored our Japanese Magnolia engagement session. Keep shamelessly whispering you love each other-it is precious.

The Drury’s spring wedding was a mix of modern, chic, and traditional. Their reception was at Fall Line Station, and the ceremony took place at the lovely First Presbyterian Church in downtown Macon, Georgia.

Katherine’s dress was simple, elegant, and classic, so it deserved its moment in the spotlight- aka a bridal portrait session. Pro tip: book a package with a bridal session. We captured it separately at her beloved grandparent’s house. The team at Carrie’s Bridal crushed this sweet scoop neck dress. The mother of the bride and I agreed that our favorite design element was the adorable bow on the back.

I adored photographing all her wedding day details. Allison Lucas designed the spring florals. I love how she added puffs of Macon by including the iconic Cherry Blossoms in her arrangements.

Katherine was surrounded by the gorgeous group of girls all day long. You could tell her bridal party was a group of lifelong friends. They did everything the best bridesmaids did to ensure it was the best day possible. My job is a dream because the bride radiates joy at every turn.

Like I was saying, the ladies were stunning, all dressed in the perfect blue for spring, but, of course, we had to throw the spotlight on the dapper gentlemen that made up the other half of the wedding party. These groomsmen were debonaire and respectful, which always makes for a smooth sailing!

I love all venues, but there is something so tender about getting married at your childhood church First Presbyterian Church in Macon always makes for the most intimate weddings. The classic ceremony ended with a Trolley ride to the reception. You can’t beat a trip in the Macon Trolley.
After the newlyweds stole a little moment, we snagged a few family formals, and we were off to the reception. Of course, you have to arrive in style, so the couple used a Macon Trolley to transport the wedding party from the church to the reception. A trolley ride is always a treat.

Covering Fall Line Station with florals, a french fry bar, and of course, the rhythm and soul of every great wedding, a good band made it the perfect reception venue. The Grape Vine Band, a Macon favorite, created a whimsical atmosphere and a long night of moving and grooving. However, before the dance floor opened, there had to be a cake cutting. Check out that delicious cake by Mary Virginia Cakes.

Our bride and groom spent the night dancing and mingling with the wedding guest. It was a dream to document such a special day. The couple’s grand exit took place under a shower of flower petals, and it was simply the perfect way to end a spring wedding.

Thank you both for letting me capture such a time.
Xoxo,

I’ve created a Frequently Asked Questions blog because, let’s face it you have questions.
As a wedding photographer, do you know what I tell my brides? Aside from the groom, my work is the only thing you take with you after the big day. My style must match your vision if we work together.
Aesthetically my style is light and airy-meaning I capture crisp whites and creamy skin tones. I do not edit in a way that alters the authentic colors of the day. Don’t know your wedding day style? Take this quiz from The Knot. It helped one of my brides discover her dream venue was 1842 Inn.
Functionally I hover in three styles: traditional portrait, documentary, and a dash of fine art photography. I like to think of traditional portrait photography as the โmake mama proud images.โ The traditional portraits and family formals. The documentary style would mean I am there to capture the day as it happens. If a particular groomsman is breaking a move on the dance floor, you bet your bottom dollar I captured the scene. Last but not least, a dash of fine art. I let my brides and grooms know I have a creative vision for the day within the bounds of our timeline. You will see this in creative shots I take of the bride with her veil or unique placements of the wedding day details.

This a frequently asked question. All wedding packages have an engagement session and a viewing gallery for the images. Each package handles the image delivery and additional photographers uniquely.
Grumpy grooms and fussy toddlers are my favorites. What can I say? As a wedding photographer, I love a good challenge. Taking pictures is typically awkward and uncomfortable for anyone. Donโt sweat it; I will guide you and your groom through striking natural poses. I love capturing dancing, hugging, and the snagging of a kiss. If you need a glass of something special to help loosen you up, go for it. It is always my goal for my couples to leave a session, saying it was painless and fun.

Your contract will map our specific turnaround time, Typically within 6-8 weeks from your wedding date. However, in some seasons, it might be sooner. All wedding packages come with a sneak peek within a few days of the wedding to share with family and friends.
Absolutely! I love showing off my work to clients. Let me know your venue, and I’ll share a wedding that best resembles the look and feel. Heck, I might have even photographed it before.

Here is another great question. There are no additional travel feelings for wedding days in middle Georgia. A travel fee will be included outside the central Georgia area. All travel fees will be discussed through email before signing the contract.

You can start by filling out this contact form. Iโll send my pricing guide and timeline template. We will schedule a bridal chat to discuss any questions you might have for me. You must complete a bridal questionnaire if you decide to proceed with my booking process. After completing that, I will send over the contract and invoice. Pop the confetti and check the mail for Annie T. swag because you are booked, baby!!

Xoxo,
Annie T.

Here is the thing about being a wedding photographer, you capture many people who’ve fallen in love in all the seasons-spring, fall, summer and winter. I’ve photographed couples all of over Macon, Georgia and beyond. On an average wedding day, I photograph a couple that has only been married for three hours. They are simply gushing over the idea of starting their forever. Equally important, wedding days give me the opportunity to capture long love stories -like that of grandparents celebrating 60 years of marriage.
Whenever I see a couple whose love weathered time, I ask, “What’s the secret?” Throughout my career, I got many different answers. Some are silly; others are serious. They range anywhere from taking commitment seriously to just saying yes, dear.

However, my favorite answer, which I get on rare occasions, is to marry your best friend. One time a couple at a wedding told me, “Keep it simple. Just marry your best friend.” As a hopeless romantic, you can bet my heart was swooning over the thought.
It isn’t every day I see that advice play out; however, on November 12, 2022, was one of those rare fall weddings where my couple was keeping it simple and marrying their best friend.

David and Carly met in college through a campus ministry called RUF. Carly and David married at the church that has molded their relationship in such a big way.

Carly was the picture of sweet simplicity on her wedding day. She wore a classy off-the-shoulder mermaid dress from Vocelles The Bridal Shoppe. Her hair was a picture of perfection, thanks to Paige Horton at Blush Macon. Carly’s gal pals made bridesmaids’ pictures so fun. They were each so creative with their “fun” poses.

David was such a calm and collected groom, it almost made me think they weren’t the ones getting married. He was just ready to spend forever with Carly. David’s guys were a squad with a mixture of friends and family from all seasons of his life. It was an honor to capture their memories together.

The sweet couple decided not to do a first look. Instead they embraced tradition- it was so sweet.
The wedding was at North Macon Presbyterian Church, surrounded by close friends and family. Covering the sanctuary were flowers designed by Jan Belin. The wedding went off without a hitch. Despite when Carly repeated the wrong phrase, but you know that happens, and those pictures are some of my favorites.

No first look, no problem –Get ready to be impressed with me.
I told the Carters to give me forty-five minutes to capture newlywed romantics, family formals and the full bridal party. Despite the time crunch we captured everything.

It was a whirlwind of a reception with an excellent opportunity for the bride and groom to enjoy their guest company. Twas a night of fine dining, dancing, and live painting by Abigail Montgomery Art. The Carters had the cutest cake-cutting ever. Shout out to Mary Virginia Cakes for the backdrop.

The night ended with a dreamy sparkler exit and two best friends in love riding into their future. Y’all my job is a dream!

A classic couple for the classic city-Katie and Maddox’s Georgian Hall wedding was a dream to photograph.

I first met Katie because I did a marketing session for her during her time at The Georgia Center for Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. She is such a talented physician with such a solid social media presence that capturing her content became one of my favorite sessions. It was so fun meeting her in that setting and transitioning to her wedding photographer.

I was tickled pink when Katie called me and asked me to photograph her wedding. Our previous work experience created the ideal client-photographer relationship.
I knew going into her wedding she would be stunning and willing to try any of my crazy ideas.
Katie and Maddox met in college at the University of Georgia. Unsurprisingly, they wanted their special day to take place in the classic city. They chose the Georgian Hall as their venue for the ceremony and reception. The team at Georgian Hall was a dream to work alongside. They were very accommodating to my team and me. Not to mention, it has the best lighting and cohesive aesthetic.
All of Katie’s vendors were amazing to work with Brett Glenn Floral Design she created stunning florals for the wedding day. I couldn’t stop myself from photographing them. The wedding cake was such a site with its confectionery floras on the cake; Classic City Confections are a wizard.
Not to mention the wedding coordinators from White Wood Events helped make the day be such a breeze.

I was completely obsessed with Katie’s wedding dress and veil combo. It was the perfect mixture of classic chic. She was the most stunning bride. She even let me play around with so many veil shots.

Maddox was a hoot and a half. He is a total jokester, cracking everyone up during the day, making for the best groom photos. Thanks for being such good sports in the simmering Georgia heat, guys.

One unique thing about Katie and Maddox’s wedding was their entire wedding party was family only. I am always here to invite gal pals from all seasons of life to stand beside you. However, this twist to the wedding party attendees gets me in my feels. I loved seeing all the siblings on both sides helping the bride and groom get ready. The ceremony was short and sweet, which left plenty of time for dancing and newlywed pictures. I love staying on top of the timeline.

The Georgian Hall in the Classic city lets the bride and groom do a reception room reveal before they let the guest come into the area. It was a sweet moment for the couple.
Kris Plummer with Sound Insight Pro brought all the party vibes for this reception. He was a great mc for first dances. It was a perfect mix of new-age pop, Taylor Swift, and some oldies. Katie’s cousin was tearing up the dance floor. It was a hoot. Not to mention the late-night foodies were surprised with a tater-tot bar.

The icing on the cake for such a magical day was photographing the bubble exit. Man oh, man I love a Georgian Hall wedding in the Classic city.
Thank you for letting me capture your big day Katie + Maddox.
