I enjoy hosting a series of enchanting fall minis every fall. Many of my clients from last year signed up for minis this year.- how amazing! My first stop this year was at Jackson Springs Park in Macon, Georgia. This picturesque setting was the perfect backdrop for capturing the autumn’s warmth, love, and vibrant colors. I worked with four wonderful families: the Wolhrabes, the Wilsons, the Elrods, and the Joneses. Join me in gushing over these enchanting fall family photos!
The Wholrabe Family: A Burst of Joy and Bubbles | Fall Minis 2023
The Wohlrabe family brought a wave of energy and happiness to the mini-sessions. Comprising a loving mom, dad, twins, and a precious little girl, they were a delightful bundle of smiles and laughter. I even got sweet Lilie to smile; if you know her, that is a HUGE deal. Capturing their family dynamic was an absolute joy, and it’s clear that their love shines through in every photograph.
The Wilson Family: Canine Companions and Couple’s Love | Fall Minis 2023
The Wilsons arrived at the mini sessions with their two adorable dogs, Archie and Remie. The combination of their deep affection for each other and the charming presence of their canine companions made for heartwarming moments. Jackson Springs is the perfect spot to bring the pup for fall minis. As we strolled through the park’s pathways, the dogs added a playful touch to the scenes, creating a sense of joy and unity.
The Elrod Family: Picture of Togetherness | Fall Minis 2023
The Elrod family, consisting of a dedicated mom, dad, and two sweet little girls, showcased the beauty of togetherness. Surrounded by the park’s natural splendor, they engaged in warm embraces, playful interactions, and loving glances. The two little girls added a sense of innocence and wonder to the photographs, making for timeless memories of family bonds.
The Jones Family: Adventure and Camaraderie with Mac | Fall Minis 2023
The Jones family, featuring the boys and their loyal dog, exuded a sense of adventure and camaraderie. They explored the park’s nooks and crannies and waded in the water. The presence of their furry friend added so much joy. Aren’t Fall Minis at Jackson Springs so fun?
Capturing the joys of fall at Jackson Springs Park reminded me of the unique beauty each family brings to their photographs. I’m grateful to have been able to document these precious moments, preserving the warmth and love shared among these wonderful families. As autumn’s vibrant colors ramp up, I cannot wait to capture more fall minis!

Who is ready to see my second round of 2023 spring minis? Man, oh, man, the spring foliage on Coleman Hill showed out this round. This is the third year I’ve offered minis in the spring. As a Middle Georgia photographer I love embracing all the change that comes with spring. Using the blooms as backdrops for photos is a dream. Round two of spring minis 2023 came with a newly added layer of sweetness.
The Monsted Collection
You might could call it my something new.
Specifically, a new addition to my spring minis were sessions with new faces due to a program called Clicks 4 Hope through Jay’s Hope. Jay’s Hope is a middle Georgia nonprofit that strives to improve the quality of life for children in Georgia and their families fighting cancer. The initiative Clicks 4 Hope is a program that partners with professional photographers to create an opportunity for families who are battling childhood cancer. It creates a space for families to have portraits made without the financial or logistical stress.

Get ready to drool over this engagement session under the Japanese Magnolias in downtown Macon. You won’t just gaze at the scenery but fall in love with the couple and gasp at the optical illusion created by a Macon photographer you know and love. 😉 😉
Fall in love in the Magnolias.
Maddie and Caleb’s Japanese Magnolia engagement session is something to obsess over. The magnolias were in full bloom. It was the perfect backdrop for this swooning couple. When I say swooning, I 100% mean these two are smitten with each other. I caught Maddie and Caleb sneaking kisses, giggling, and whispering “I love you” to each other during our entire photo shoot.
Cuddles on Coleman Hill
Once we captured every drop of magic from the Japanese Magnolias, we headed to Coleman Hill to recreate the couple’s first day. What a fun first date it was. They watched the Goonies on top of Coleman Hill in Macon, Georgia, and the rest is history.
An Optical Illusion
We ended our session at the most peculiar place. Maddie requested a field of tall grass for some dreamy sunset pictures. Of course, I wanted to make my client’s vision come to life, like all good photographers.
However, where would I find such a field in Macon, Ga?
That’s where I had to get creative. I knew there was a patch of tall grass in the industrial area section of Macon, so off we went. With my cameras in hand and the help of my go-with-the-flow couple, we capture the most magical images! You would never guess that we weren’t actually in a large field but a patch of grass.
Maddie and Caleb, thank you for letting me be a part of your story. I adored our Japanese Magnolia engagement session. Keep shamelessly whispering you love each other-it is precious.

Oh my goodness, I cannot get over fall minis. It has been one for the books. I pick Amerson Water Park because it is a great place for a family photographer to set up shop for the day. It is also a convenient place for my clients. I loved my time photographing over six clients.
Each family or couple brought their spunk and spice to this Macon, Georgia gem.

Jackson Springs Park in Macon, Georgia, is a hidden gem. It gives me major secret garden vibes with its whimsical creek and stone bridge. That is why I always pick this location for fall minis. As a Macon family photographer it is the ideal spot. Lucky for me, so many of my clients love this park as well.
This year I photographed five families there.
