Macon Wedding | St. Joseph Catholic Church and Idle Hour Country Club | Lamar Collection

Annie T. Wedding Collections

Shannon and Jackson had planned the most elegant summer wedding at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a killer dance party at Idle Hour Country Club in Macon, Georgia. Of course, the planning was a team effort by all their amazing vendors. The gals at LLC Events kept everything running smoothly and worked through all the day’s logistics. Shannon and Jackson surrounded themselves with the best wedding party and family- a glorious day.

But don’t take my word for it. Walk through the Wedding day with me.

Idle Hour was the perfect place to take cover from the May Georgia heat and provided such a stunning backdrop for getting ready and wedding day pictures. Did I forget to mention that this wedding took place over Memorial Day weekend…in Georgia? You can’t tell at all, can you? Obviously, it is because the gals at The Mint crushed the wedding day looks for all. Time to gush over Shannon’s bridal details: her A-line dress and champagne shoes will make you swoon.

Our stunning bride did the sweetest first look with her bridesmaids, father, and groom. I love a first look with the groom. Specifically, first looks help the couple get out all of those wedding day jitters and create more opportunities for creative couple romantics like the ones you will see later in the blog.

Lastly, let’s take a moment to applaud the guys for being so respectful and looking dapper. These groomsmen were some of my favorites. They were down for the traditional photos but added their spin on things, which I always adore on a wedding day. Plus, they made the most out of hanging out at Trotters in Idle Hour before the wedding.

Making our way to St. Joseph Catholic Church .

St. Joseph Catholic Church is dripping with beauty in downtown Macon, Georgia. Making it an iconic wedding spot. Shannon and Jackson’s ceremony was a sweet service surrounded by over 200 guests, and after the ceremony, we zoomed through the family formals in less than 15 minutes! Can you say go Annie T.?

Time to Dance at Idle Hour Country Club.

After such a sentimental ceremony, we were off to the party at Idle Hour. The dance floor was popping, and Mary Pinson’s florals were blooming from every direction at the reception. Along with some of the best details of the day, the nod to Shannon’s Boston Terriers and Alabama-Roll Tide. Plus, lovely live art created by Sophie Waldrop Art! It was a night of dancing and good fun that ended with late-night Krystal’s, which, if you know me, you know it’s a significant win for a wedding day.

They ended the night with a magical sparkler exit to step into the Lamar’s forever. I adored St. Joseph Catholic Church and The Idle Hour Country Club reception. Shannon and Jackson, thank you for letting me capture your big day. It was a dream.

xoxo,

Annie T.
